BBC News Report 2016 World Book Day

World Book Day on Thursday the 3rd of March gave Farringdon Community Academy students the chance to portray themselves as a book or film character of their choice. The three students which were thought to be the best dressed where given a small prize. World Book Day has been shown to give chances to children in less privileged areas regarding education in literacy. Due to this, each student was asked to donate one pound towards charities which specialised in education through reading if they came to school in non-uniform attire.
