Today is our Community Day; a day which allows us to explore issues such as careers, diversity, health and safety, fitness and so on. Everyone comes in non-uniform and there are many activities to take part in. Year 7, are enjoying participating in a day of PE. Year 8, started off their day by seeing a performance and then are having a mixture of presentations, including a talk from the RSPCA, the police and Young Asian Voices. Year 9 are spending the day at our local College learning about courses and careers. Year 10 are also doing a range of presentations, where they listen to a speaker from Young Asian Voices, British Values and will also work on their Building My Skills Programme, a careers linked folder of tasks. They will also watch a performance from a group of actors, who will act about issues online that don’t seem to be true. Finally, Year 11 are spending their day at a learning conference at the Glass Centre.
