*Family Day Out to Hamsterley Forest*

Friday 10th April

For parents/carers with children aged 11 and under

Lots of fab activities which include: Treasure trail, adventure play area and Gruffalo trail

Tickets £6/adult & £4/child (must be booked and paid for in advance)

Coach leaves The Box Youth Project at 9.30am, returning at 4.30pm

Fun for all the family - inflatables, petting zoo, arts and crafts, face
painting, pre-loved toys and books sale, raffles etc…

All funds raised will support local young people to volunteer in Gambia

*Volunteering in the Gambia*

We are currently recruiting volunteers for 2016.

*Donations needed*

Every year we raise funds to ship a container to Gambia, providing much
needed resources for local schools, health clinics, community groups and
families we work with through volunteering.
We are looking for the following items for our container project, can you
help?


   - Child, teen and adult  clothing and shoes
   - Educational books and toys
   - A4 plain and lined paper
   - Arts and craft materials (card, glue, scissors etc)
   - Pens, pencils, colouring pencils, rubbers, pencil sharpeners
   - First aid supplies (Plasters, bandages, paracetamol, ibuprofen,
   antiseptic cream etc)
   - Workshop tools (saws, chisels, hammers, pliers, toolboxes etc)
   - Tents, sleeping bags
   - Large pans
   - Flat bed sheets, towels
   - Sports clothing and equipment (old strips, balls, rackets/bats etc)

Items can be dropped off  at Farringdon Community Academy on Thursday
mornings 10am-noon or at The Box Youth Project
Hall Farm Road, Sunderland, SR3 2UY , Thursday and Fridays between 9.30 and
6pm.
